Cookie Policy
This policy explains how TRUE Integrations AB uses cookies on trueassurance.io. In short: we use only strictly necessary cookies, we set no advertising or tracking cookies, and we use no third-party analytics.
Under the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, consent is required for non-essential cookies. Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, no consent is legally required — but we still show you a clear notice, because transparency is the point.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device to make it function. Cookies can be “strictly necessary” (needed for the site to work or to honour a preference you set) or “non-essential” (analytics, advertising, tracking). We use only the former.
2. The cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
true_cookie_ack | Remembers that you have seen and dismissed our cookie notice, so it is not shown on every visit | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
Alongside the cookie, the same acknowledgement is stored as a browser localStorage entry, also named true_cookie_ack, for the same single purpose: remembering that you have dismissed the notice.
Our hosting provider may process short-lived server logs (including IP address) to keep the site secure and available. These are not cookies and are covered in our Privacy Policy.
3. What we do not use
- No Google Analytics or any third-party analytics.
- No advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking pixels.
- No cross-site tracking, fingerprinting or marketing profiles.
- No cookies set by third parties.
4. Managing cookies
Because we use only a single strictly-necessary cookie, there is nothing to opt out of for the site to respect your privacy. You can nonetheless delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that the acknowledgement is stored both as the true_cookie_ack cookie and as a localStorage entry of the same name — to make the cookie notice appear again, clear both (most browsers do this together when you clear “site data” for trueassurance.io).
Guidance for the major browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.
5. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies — for example privacy-friendly analytics — we will update this policy and add a proper consent mechanism (accept / reject / manage) before any such cookie is set. This policy will always reflect what actually runs.
